My dad taught me how to do a chain stitchas a kid. I just need to figure out how to do the different stitches. If my Great-Grandma was still here she could teach me. Before she died she has lost her sight, but she knew some patterns so well that she kept making things. I have doilies and bed covers and other things from her. She liked giving stuff to me because I was the only one that thanked her

I learned how to crochet as a kid, and recently relearned through You-Tube videos. I love that multi-square scarf! I could totally see tooling away on that in front of the TV, a few squares a night.

I seemed to gravitate toward "theknitwitch" videos, but I haven't really compared and studied any, so I can't say she's the "best" or anything.
