View Full Version : How do I use these stamps?

I am not an avid stamper at all but these just called my name at Target today. They are made of clear rubbery stuff and it says on the package "so easy to use and so easy to keep ... goes right back into the clamshell package for safe storage!" Do I need some sort of block or something (stamp idiot here!)? I saw a clear block for sale by the same maker. Most stamps are on some sort of block, be it wood or clear, aren't they? Clueless here!

Advice appreciated! Thanks!

yes they go on the clear blocks. They kind of cling to them. The advantage is they are easy to store and you can see where you are stamping.

And those are cool stamps

those sames are called acyrlic stamps and are highly addictive!!!!! i have a similar set and i love them! you need a clear block. you take the stamp out of the package and it "clings" to the block. then you apply ink and stamp away. you can either wash the stamp with a baby wipe, water or a stamp cleaner.

for storage - many different ways. i store mine in blank CD holders.

I love using the clear stamps. Yes, you need to buy a clear block and then the stamps will stick on to the block automatically. when you are finished stamping, remove stamp from block, rinse off and put away.

they make storage sooooo easy too and because the blocks are clear yoou can see where you are stamping.

You are gonna love them. OK clear enough???

I feel like a dufus but hey, I needed to be clear on these! I understand that I should have bought the block as well. I just wasn't understanding that I could use the same block for each of the stamps.

Of course I will post a layout using these as soon as I can!

Thanks freaks!

the stamps cling to the block kind of like window stickies. know what I mean?

so you pick the stamp you want to use - stick it on the block, ink it and stamp it - then it peels off the block and goes back in the box. :)

oh...this thread reminds me - I've recently learned that they carry these stamps at WALMART now! Mine was out of a few sets that I actually wanted - but they are like $12 or $9 which is pretty cheap!

I saw these at my WM today... and Cyndie, don't feel like a dufus! I did not get them b/c I was afraid I would not know how to use them either! And while we are asking "dumb" questions.. Do you just use regular stamp pads? and can you use paint?

Marlena
