Amy

there is nothing planned that's altering specific, but there are several challenges where your projects could definitely fit in! :)

What do you do with the big clothes pins?

I haven't been to the Scrapbook Barn since they moved!!

Abby, did you like the store?

ceekay
05-04-2007, 04:22 PM
yep, it's all our fault. Pour on the guilt, we can take it! We are freaky girls!

I just finished altering a giant clothespin to use as a magnet. They are fun to do!

jammycm
05-04-2007, 04:23 PM

Amy

What do you do with the big clothes pins?

Here are 2 clothes pins I did a while back - I use them on the shelf in my sb room and I use them as picture holders. :)

Abby don't worry it is for research.

great clothespins Amy

jammycm
05-04-2007, 04:51 PM
Yes, Cyndie they just moved across the street into the shopping center where the old Michael's or whatever that store was! They are down near Scooters!

I just haven't been in but their website shows a store that appears to be lots bigger!!

I just have to drive by SBW to get there or go to the Barn at lunch since I work down in Addison! I don't NEED anymore supplies...I just want more!!

lmao

jammycm
05-04-2007, 04:52 PM
are those clothes pins decorative or do they really work? :)

DearAbby
05-04-2007, 04:55 PM
It is MUCH bigger. Now you don't feel claustrophobic in there and I could take Mitchell in his big stroller and not worry. Have y'all been to Scrap Bucket in Plano?

jammycm
05-04-2007, 04:58 PM
Nope to the Scrap Bucket!! Have you been to the Scrap Pad in Colleyville...I think it used to be the SBW?

I really like Scrap Bucket! The new store has an awesome crop room though I have yet to try it. I usally have my son with me when I go and spend a modest 12-13 dollars but the last time I went in by myself I plunked down nearly 70!

I love that you can get all those individual pieces they have in buckets and the staff has always been helpful to me!

Amy
05-04-2007, 05:00 PM
thanks girls. and yep - the clothes pins I have actually open and close. I clip the pictures in them. and I think Dorothy got the ones I did from oriental trading company - they come in sets of like 2 or 3

DearAbby
05-04-2007, 05:01 PM
Jo Anne you NEED to go to the Scrap Bucket. I need a ride there if you're offering. And no I haven't been to the Scrap Pad, where on 26 is it?

Cyndie, I've only been once and dropped $50.

jammycm
05-04-2007, 05:01 PM
Where is it in Plano? Is everything in buckets?

mlr42002
05-04-2007, 05:01 PM
I saw them in the orientral trading catalog yesterday and was trying to decide if I needed them.

DearAbby
05-04-2007, 05:02 PM
Lots of stuff is in buckets, but not every thing. I bought arrows, charms, flowers, journaling blocks, you name it, I bought it!

DearAbby
05-04-2007, 05:03 PM
Monica, you need them!

Abby I can't help but think your dh is going to kill you

DearAbby

You may be right, but they are all gifts. So if you think about it, $17 for 4 gifts isn't bad.

Stick to that story and maybe you won't be in trouble....especially if it's something for DH's MOM?

I wish I still had Mr. Rowdy's Mom to buy or make for...she was the sweetest thing!! :)

mlr42002
05-04-2007, 05:16 PM

I was there today too- when did you go?

monica

I like the Scrap Bucket. The bucket concept is very cool. I would say if you were going to be looking at individual letters to kind of know what titles you are working on. Would make it easier to buy some of those things.

And I haven't been to the Pad since it became the Pad. It wasn't a bad store when it was SBW so I imagine this one is much better!

Haven't been to the Barn since they moved.

Jess

Right after two o'clock. I was walking around with a brown plaid with small teal stripes stroller with the most adorable baby in the world in it.

I missed you by an hour. Glad you had fun. I was not impressed by the selection this time. :(
I did love the sasafras lass paper they had- I scooped up some of that and maya road ribbon.

DearAbby
05-05-2007, 07:33 AM
Yeah, the selection of stuff isn't great, but the alter items are. And they sell American Craft Ribbon singles instead of in the package of 5 or 6, which is nice.

I think I will just stay out of the stores and shop at the new Scrapfreak store!!! When Monica's business is bigger than she can handle online, maybe we can talk her into a brick and mortar store!!!

WOOO HOOOO!!!

:hoorah: :hoorah:
