I did two layouts and two cards this month with the Grafton line from Scenic Route. It was challenging (not my normal color scheme) but lots of fun to use and I loved how everything turned out.

I did this layout about one evening on mine and hubby's honeymoon using our souvenir photo.

*Notes*
-I used the Scrapfreak exclusive PageMaps sketch.
-I wanted to put a bling heart on our photo but the red HS one (http://www.scrapfreak.com/store/product.php?productid=465&cat=18&page=1) I had wasn't big enough. So I cut it out and placed it over our faces as a guideline and then glued my own rhinestones around it. Also I used the two chipboard birds as my title block.

-In the sketch, there's a dotted line near the bottom of the layout. I used the *You are my happy ending* rub-on and the bling for it.

-I liked the word Bliss on the orange PP so I cut that piece just right so that when I placed my photos on top, Bliss could still be seen.

*Notes*
-I outlined the leaf pattern in the paper with Stickles. I don't know what it is about the Scenic Route kraft papers but I love doing this technique (I did it another time on this paper (http://www.scrapfreak.com/store/product.php?productid=143&cat=0&page=5) when I made a card.)

-I made the one large flower with a Sizzix die, coffee filters, watercolor paints, and walnut ink. I cut out the flower pieces from coffee filters using the Sizzix die. Then I painted the flower pieces with watercolor paints and sprayed with walnut ink. I finally sprayed a light mist of water on top and pressed dry between paper towels. After they dried, I assembled the flower pieces and then curled up and inked the edges of the petals.

I am in awe... I love the use of bling on the first LO, next to 'Bliss', edge of pic, and along bottom with phrase. everything is wonderous, but I love the first LO!
