So as we begin this class, what kind of canvas do you want to make?
Ideas to get you rolling...
Is this for you or a gift?
-display in your own home
-Father's Day, Grandparent's Day gifts
-birthday gift
-anniversary gift
What kind of canvas do you want to make? Will it include photos or not?
-your family
-your children
-pets
-friends
-a simple quote
-a hobby (like my sample that I made for DH)
-a room sign for your kitchen, scrap room, etc.
What size?
-5x7
-8x10
-11x14
-16x20
-maybe a series of canvases
(mine was 12x24")
How will it be displayed? What room?
-hang on the wall
-prop up on a shelf
-display on an easel
-hang with ribbon
-kitchen, child's room, family room, scrap room, bathroom, bedroom, etc.
So what are you thinking you might be doing? :)
oh i'll work on thinking tonight while I'm at work. :D
:hmmm: I need to really think about this! I want one for me but I am not sure I want it to be the first one I do cause I know i will do a better one next time. Maybe I will do it for DD"s room!

I will probably want to make one for myself first, then take the idea and run with it and make more for gifts.
Not sure yet if it will include photos. I want it for my scraproom, since I've had an idea for a canvas for a while now.
I think I want to try out a smaller canvas first, see how comfortable I am with it and then try for the BIG one that i have - I have a 1x4 foot canvas that I brought back from England that's been waiting to be used!
I will hang the big one on the wall!

OH, the possibilities are endless.
I was actually thinking of maybe making one for Ian's pictures from when he was born.

Hmmm, I showed samantha the canvas in your gallary with the letter on in, and I think she is going to do something along those lines, in pink purple navy tones to match her room, and she wants it square.
I may do the same, but I found a circle canvas that I liked and it could go in the family room.

I plan to do one or more 12x12 one that I already own. I want to do pics to go over the couch, but not sure what pics.
Originally I was thinking the dogs, and my family. But my mom takes fantastic pics, so I am thinking maybe three canvases with pics of roses...

I've been wanting to take some of the prominent shots from my travels and enlarge some from each place, but canvases look so much cooler than frames, I think.. So I've been to Prague, Venice, Paris, Edinburgh, & Belgium off the top of my head.
In the downstairs bathroom I've been wanting to put some photos of London... omg omg omg the possibilities are ENDLESS!!!

Some friends that were here yesterday was wondering why so many of our walls are bare since they know I'm into photography. I told them I just never got around to it!

OOH OHHH OHHHHHHH!!! and I ran this one photo of my friends' twins through the stamp filter in photoshop and she wanted to make that onto a canvas.... can you imagine? doing this for cheaper since getting canvases done are somewhat pricey???

I was thinking just haging on the wall but I am liking the ribbon idea.

So, I want to do two. I want to do one of pics with me and my BF. The other one I want to do is pics of his guitars. I'm not sure about sizes yet. I like the big one that Shannon did, but I don't know if I want to go that big for my first one.

**I need to check the space I have on my mantel.

- I'm thinking proping it on the mantel in the family room. I really need
something there to give it color.

I think I'm gonna do two. I have a 12x24 canvas that I will do for myself first, probably something a little more "artsy" for my scraproom. Then, once I get the technique down, I want to do one as a gift for Joann with her graduation photo on it.

Ok now that i have a scrappy room i think i will do something creative to hang on the wall.:yay: I got a pack of 2-12x16 canvases so maybe i will do both for my scrappy room!
