May Class - Week 3 - Album & Kit

Okay girls! We are moving into the second half of this project! By now, I hope you have a pretty good list of things to include in your book. In addition to gathering pictures, I want you to start gathering supplies!


Do you want to mix ablums, or use one album?
For your album, consider: size, medium (sheer, black board, chipboard, cardstock) and the number of pages you will need.
Do you plan to use one paper line (easier to get a uniform look) or mix it up (great way to use up stuff)?
Start creating your project "kit": patterned paper, letters, ribbon, paint, stickles, embellishments, chipboard, etc. See my tips for mixing manufacturers (in the library) if you need help!

It will probably depend on what paper I choose. none of which I can do until I can unpack my scrappy stuff :sigh: I want to *try* mixing papers but don't know if I will be able to!

Well you girls know I used Abby and Ethan. I LOVE how it came out and hope to take some better up close shots this weekend and post them.

I am making an album for seven and I am mixing black board again for that too. I even cut up some of the scallop blackboard pages! I will have to post later. My mine issue there is that I have NOT worked on my photos... :sigh: so I need to do that!

I am using Ethan and Abby, and probably a bunch of other stuff as well; I have a jenni bowlin banner thing I might use as well; and lots of maya road office sheers.

for pp I have LOTS of MM; both animal crackers and noteworthy; and then just some other random pps that I found at the expo; and some KI...

lemme check my kit for what else I stuck in there...
Gix-X coasters; lots of MM embellishments; some basic grey--two scoops and one of the baby girl lines; "my life" stickers

I know the albums I am using, I have an acrylic album and the BB Kate album. I am trying to decie between the Reminise and KI papers in bright colors. I will have to see what I have the most to go with. I have some Elsie stuff I like too.

ok i opened my box of scrapfreak goodies with my scenic route album today and that helped me narrow down my list a little bit, I updated it in the other thread. I also decided I don't think I'm going to use photos... although I do have a big box of old family pictures at home that I might flip through once just to check and see if there are any that strike me as really fitting. hrm... going to go back and think about each of my phrases now and see what I might come up with - I already made notes about the paper I want to use and stuff. Each page will be a little different but I'm going to try and mix manufacturers and use lots of turquoise & orange to tie it together!
