Hello...and welcome to Scrapfreak!
My name is Monica and I'm the freak behind Scrapfreak. I'm married to a wonderful husband, Jason, that is the 24/7 tech support behind the scenes. We have a beautiful daughter, Abigail, that is responsible for the site name. She always calls me a freak when it comes to scrapping so Scrapfreak was born!
A couple of little things to help you settle in:
User Control Panel - On the top left hand corner of the site, you'll see a USER CP link. This will take you to your User Control Panel where you can edit any of your profile information, avatars or signature information.
To Upload an Avatar - From the user control panel, select Edit Avatar from the menu on the left. You have a couple different choices for your avatar. You can upload your avatar from a different site (ie photobucket) that might be hosting your pictures or you can upload one from your computer. If you are uploading from a picture hosting website, you will need to enter the URL to the image and then select save changes. This will upload your avatar. If you have an image on your computer that you would like to use, you will select browse to locate your image. Once you have located your image you will select save changes and this will upload your avatar. You will also follow these steps to change your avatar at anytime. If you decide that you no longer wish to have an avatar, you will select Do Not Use Avatar and then save changes.
Signatures - Your signature can contain up to 2 images (not counting any Scrapfreak blinkies you might earn on the site). Each image should be no larger than 300x75 pixels. That's about the size of the Team Freak logo below. Here's a quick test for you. When you go to post a comment, before you post any text, your signature should not exceed past the bottom of your avatar. You may also display information about Design Teams that you are working with but you are not allowed to provide a link. The only links allowed will be for your personal blogs. Please see the Advertisement section of the Forum Guidelines (http://scrapfreak.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6) for specific details regarding advertising on the site.
Gallery Uploads - We want to see all of your creative work but in an effort to lengthen the time a layout in the gallery could be viewed and not pushed off the front page, I'd like to ask that you refrain from flooding the gallery and to upload no more than 5 layouts at a time.
