May Class - Week 2 - List & Photos

I am posting this early so those that want to can start thinking about this!

Your task for week 2 (May 8-14):

* Go back thru your prompts and start to create a list of just those things you want to include in your book! You can't include them all :D Consider how large you want your book to be when setting your goal for number of items to include. (will your traits take a two page spread or one page each?)

Consider combining similar items when possible.
Choose those that truly DEFINE you as a person. Those that friends and family think of as YOU. Or that is key to how YOU view YOURSELF.
Include a mix of the serious and silly!
Include the the good and the bad!

If you are leaving off a lot, you can consider an extra page at the end to list extra traits you didn't cover, as the last page of your book.

* You will also need to start collecting photos! Not all pages need photos, but I think it nice to have some.

Consider childhood photos - this is a great way to scrap some random pics. Look for ones that represent your trait. For example, for my page on being creative, I was lucky to have a pic of me asleep with my coloring book as a child. Or for my emotional page, I used a pic of me yelling at my mom as a toddler.
Use current photos
Plan to take a new photo! Snap a picture of something in your house, work, town, that represents that idea.
Use "bo bo" photos! Consider a photo off the internet of a generic item that matches your topic.
Or NO photo! Several of my pages had no photos. Which leaves more room for journaling!

4. I have always been afraid of the dark - black background, white font.
5. I have always struggled with my weight - (recent photo - heavy, recent photo - skinny)
6. I have always wanted to be a teacher - owl for wisdom?
7. I have always been creative - (picture doing art) colorful sassafrass lass patchwork paper
8. I have always loved music - (piano recital and/or choir photo) tangerine dream sheet music paper


I have always valued school & learning
I have always loved mystery & fantasy
I have always been an introvert

oh my gosh I found the *greatest* pictures tonight :woohoo:

i had gotten a "teacher" kit for christmas one year, and I found a picture of my teddy bears set up at their cardboard box "desks" - and a picture of the chalkboard with the agenda for the lesson written up - well guess what was first on the list and already checked off? "rules" :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

also found a pic of me with colored pencils for the creative one, tons of pics of me reading... i'm so excited to really get started on this tomorrow when I can get home early after class :banana:
